Anuket is the ancient Egyptian deity of the sacred river. Gifts in her honour such as precious jewels and gold ornaments were thrown into the Nile by her followers as a way of gaining her favour.
As if unearthed from the tomb of a Byzantine empress this artwork is intended to feel as if it is a rarely discovered artefact, a link with the goddess.
The Anuket necklace is composed of over 1000 carats of onyx gemstone adorning ten rows of vermeil gold chain, vermeil gold beads and fine wire. The clasp features the designers signature sand dune motif.
Created using techniques which have not changed since ancient times such as beading, wire artistry and lost wax casting, in a palette of rich gold and intense black make this opulent jewel a compelling addition to any collection.
